Richard S. Goldstein

Senior Partner

Richard S. Goldstein was born in New York and now resides in London with his family, who are all dual nationals of the U.S. and the U.K. He is the Senior Partner of the firm he established in New York in 1979 and Senior Partner of its affiliated London office.

Both offices deal exclusively with U.S. immigration and nationality law, with a particular emphasis on business immigration and consular visa matters. The client base is primarily corporate as well as high-net-worth individuals. Richard is currently deeply involved with consular issues and U.S. citizenship matters, with an emphasis on renunciation of citizenship.

He has organized and chaired numerous international immigration seminars over the last thirty years and has lectured across Europe, Asia and North America. A member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) for more than thirty years, he served as President of its New York Chapter, as a member of the AILA Board of Governors, and as Chairman of its Visa Office Liaison Committee.

Traveling to Japan several times each year since 1980, Richard has lectured for Keidanren, the Japan Overseas Investment Association, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, among many others.

Tammy M. Lee

Managing Partner

Tammy Lee is Managing Partner at Goldstein & Lee. She is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and is a graduate of Smith College and of the Catholic University School of Law (1996) in Washington, DC, her birthplace.

She joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 1996 and became Partner in 2001; the firm changed its name to Goldstein & Lee in 2009. She is a member of AILA and the New York State Bar and has lectured for the New York State Bar, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, AILA and the American Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Lee was selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers™ in America 2018 in Immigration Law and received recognition from Who's Who Legal: Corporate Immigration 2017.

Frieda S. Shapiro

Associate

Frieda S. Shapiro received her Bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago and her Juris Doctor Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the New York Bar and is a member of AILA.

Since 2001, Frieda has practiced a wide variety of corporate employment-based and family-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, as well as consular processing.

Sheena (Xing) Zhou

Associate

Sheena Zhou is an experienced immigration attorney admitted to practice law in the State of New York. She holds an LL.M. from Temple University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Law from Xiamen University, China, and completed the international law program at the East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai.

Before joining the firm, she served as Associate Attorney at several New York boutique law firms, managing multinational corporate accounts and advising on immigration compliance across the art, pharmaceutical, engineering and technology industries. Ms. Zhou is native in Mandarin and fluent in English.

Ethel Pura Santa Ana Vara

Associate

Ethel is an associate in the firm's New York office, practicing in business immigration law. She has assisted Fortune 500 companies and individual clients with a wide variety of matters, including nonimmigrant visas, EB-1 immigrant petitions, PERMs, permanent residence and consular processing.

Part of the team since 2019, she is admitted to practice in New York. She earned her LL.M. from NYU School of Law (2017) with a major in International Legal Studies and holds a B.A., LL.B. from ITESM, Mexico. Ethel is fluent in English and Spanish.

Aleksandra Adamska

Associate

Aleksandra received her Bachelor's degree from Binghamton University in 2017 and her Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law in 2021. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.

Before joining the firm, she worked at a large corporate immigration law firm in New York, handling a variety of employment-based immigration matters in the technology and finance sectors as well as family-based permanent residence applications. Aleksandra is fluent in Polish and English.
